Our Process

  1. We buy High quality green beans at the lowest price possible.

  2. We remove the beans from burlap bags and put them in storage bins to maintain cleanliness and freshness.

  3. All bags of coffee are roasted after you place your order.

  4. Beans are cooled quickly after roasting with high powered fans to prevent loss of flavor and quality.

  5. We will roast and immediately bag in one way vented oxygen barrier bags.

  6. When ever possible we will ship on the same day to maintain optimal freshness.

Why is Dam Coffee Unique?

  1. We believe in freshness, so we roast after you place your order.

  2. We do not pre-roast and let it set in warehouses like many commercial retailers, donut shops, and coffee shops.

  3. Most of the year our beans are roasted in the beautiful fresh mountain air of an off grid location in an unorganized township at the base of Mount Katahdin. For a few months a year, the coffee is still roasted in fresh country air in the westernmost Palmyra, ME.

  4. During the snowy months, our remote roasting location is only accessible by snowmobile.  During those months, we literally snowmobile your fresh roasted coffee to our vehicle, located up to 7 miles away, only then are we able to drop it off at the nearest post office.

Why do I need some Dam Coffee?
Dam Coffee is made from the best quality beans and Home Roasted with excellence verses quantity in mind.  We developed our recipe over a five year period before going to market.   Fresh roast means the best taste.  We will not roast your coffee until after you place your order.   Your order is roasted with your individual order on our minds.  Major coffee distributors and chain stores have factories where they roast their coffee for bulk storage and shipment to their warehouses and stores.   That means they are not selling you the best tasting coffee.  We only use the highest quality Arabica beans purchased from 3 continents, which means better flavor, less bitterness, and most of all less caffeine!  Other coffees contain as much as 80 percent more caffeine than our coffee.  Many people felt caffeine jitters after 1 cup of their old coffee.   After switching to Dam Coffee report being able to drink as many as 3-4 cups of coffee instead of just one.  Others report, "Your Coffee makes me feel better".  One of the biggest contributors to antioxidants in the American diet is coffee, more coffee without caffeine overload can mean a healthier you.   Make Dam Coffee your antioxidant of choice.
